Selected from a series of recent screenprints inspired by a fascination with hybrids, evolution and tampering with the species boundaries. Penelope Kenny is an Australian born artist who is now based by the sea in Brighton, England. Since graduating from the University of Brighton with a degree in Fine Art Printmaking she has worked as a freelance artist and has exhibited in locations including London, New York and Japan. Penelope spends her time in the storerooms and libraries of Natural History Museums and in her studio, where she mixes hand-made pearlescent and metallic inks and creates her prints.
